Injury Worsens, Return Delayed for Astros Rodgers

Houston reliever Abram Rodgers has suffered a setback in his recovery from a sore elbow. According to Astros officials, he will be out of action for 5 days.
"Doctors are concerned with the rate of healing and have decided that Rodgers will need additional time in rehab before he will be cleared to play," one team spokesman explained to reporters.
So far this season Rodgers is 5-and-7 with 6 saves and a 4.83 ERA. He has given up 86 hits in 69 innings with 58 strikeouts.

Thad Trapnell Claims NL Batting Title

2032 was a banner season for Thad Trapnell of the Colorado Rockies.
The 26-year-old right fielder had the highest batting average in the National League with a .339 average.
Trapnell notched 238 hits in 702 at-bats to take the crown. He also hit 4 home runs, drove in 75 runs and scored 112 times, while playing in 155 games.

When it came to hitting in the American League this season, no one did it better than Oscar Leal of the Seattle Mariners.
He surpassed all his peers with a .350 average to take the 2032 batting crown.
The 29-year-old second baseman had 214 hits, including 36 doubles, 4 triples and 24 home runs. Leal participated in 149 games and also chipped in 91 RBIs and scored 97 times.
