Being a part of a new league, especially if new to online leagues and even more so if new to OOTP, is a daunting task. After you have been entered into the game file, use this page as a starting point for getting acclimated to some of the intricacies of Champion Leagues United Baseball.
Download the starter file.
Found at the "links" section of our league website (https://statsplus.net/theclub/). Download the CLUBstarterfile.zip and unzip the contents. In the folder, you can copy the .lg file to your saved_games folder in the OOTP 22 folder on your computer:
.../Application Support/Out of the Park Developments/OOTP Baseball 22/saved_games/
Once in the file, sign in to the "Starter File" account (p/w baseball) and download the most recent file. Then you can login to your own account. As always, let me know if you have any other questions about this process.
Become familiar with the rules.
We pride ourselves on not having very many rules in the CLUB, but the ones we have are very important. Be sure to review these:

Understand the different websites
For the most part, all you will need to use regularly is Slack (for which you should have received a personal invitation) and this Forum page (index.php). However, be aware that there are other websites out there:
StatsPlus website (where we will do the draft, vote for awards, you can track stats, and find important links): https://statsplus.net/theclub/ You'll need to sign up using Slack for this site!
Export tracker (where you can confirm that your export has taken): https://statsplus.net/theclub/exports
Live Sim (on special occasions and the playoffs, games in OOTP will be simmed live and can be viewed here): (link TBA)
Utilize Slack
Slack is likely going to be the main way you communicate with your fellow GMs. Feel free to become familiar with the system. You can change your name, image, and communicate with individuals or in groups. Also, I find it very helpful (and distracting) to have the Slack app on my phone. Search for the app on your appropriate app store.
Finally, always feel free to contact the commissioner with any questions, comments, or concerns.

For trades, use the forums.
The process is pretty self explanatory, but these steps help:
- Make sure you have reviewed the rules (recent free agent signings are not always eligible for trade)
- Make sure you can afford contracts (check your own "accounting" page in your front office)

Install the newest images file
Found on the league website (https://statsplus.net/theclub/), images can be downloaded and unzipped to your saved game so that you have the latest logos for the teams. Here's where to export each folder/file (the file paths below are for Windows users, but the Mac file path should be similar):
- Images: Unzip to .../Out of the Park Developments/OOTP Baseball 23/saved_games/Champion Leagues United Baseball.lg/news/html/
- Jerseys, Ballcaps, and Faces: Unzip to .../Out of the Park Developments/OOTP Baseball 23/saved_games/Champion Leagues United Baseball.lg/
Finally, important reminders:
- New league members are often targets for lopsided trades. It is recommended that you take some time to gauge the market before making any big deals. Furthermore, new GMs are not allowed to make any trades within 72 hours of joining the Slack, per our rules.
- If you decide to make a big deal, it is recommended that you post them to the trade block to ensure that you can involve all interested parties and get the best possible deal.
