Lansing designated hitter Ian Kelly helped his team beat the Dayton Dragons, 8-2. Kelly went 3 for 3 for the Lugnuts. Lansing is now 78-61, while Dayton is 43-96.

With one out in the bottom of the first, Johnny Irwin put Lansing in front, 1-0, with a run-scoring single. The Lugnuts went on to win the ballgame.

"Winning is the only thing that really matters," Kelly told the Lansing Gazette. "If you can win without even breaking a sweat, more power to you."
