Lowell shortstop Juan Perez made his presence felt in the 5-4 Spinners triumph over the Vermont Lake Monsters. Perez was 4 for 5 with 4 singles, while scoring 2 times. With this game in the books, Lowell is 48-14, Vermont 32-30.

Up to bat in the bottom of the ninth, 21-year old catcher Josh Dolliole had a chance to be the hero. Vermont pitcher Luis Valenzuela wanted to foil that plan. But with two outs, Dolliole drew a walk, driving in 1 run. The Spinners had themselves a thrilling win.

Dolliole told a Lowell Chronicle reporter that he was "satisfied" with the win.
