Dust Devils Absorb 5-4 Loss at Memorial Stadium
Fans witnessed a whale of a game between the Boise Hawks and Tri-City Dust Devils.

Boise beat Tri-City at Memorial Stadium, eking out a 5-4 win. The win was due in large part to second baseman Billy Montgomery. He went 1-3 with a home run. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. The win belonged to Jim Dry in relief. His record improves to 1-0. Juan Estremera took the loss for Tri-City. Brenden Deckard, credited with the save, is now 5 for 7 in save opportunities.

Jon Baker drew 1 walk in 4 plate appearances for Boise. The 19-year old first baseman had a key at-bat in the bottom of the seventh. With two out and the bases loaded, he broke a 4-4 tie with a run-scoring walk off Juan Estremera. It was his 17th walk of the season.

"This was a good win," said Montgomery.

The 'W' lifts Boise's record to 27-36.
