Reds Top Mets, 7-4
|
The Kingsport Mets got a sterling performance from second baseman Chip McKendry, but the Greeneville Reds still prevailed, 7-4. McKendry went 2-2 with a double. Mike Bills closed it out for his 2nd save. Greeneville, at 13-20, occupies 4th place in the West.
Alan Young, the 20-year old left fielder , had a direct impact on the outcome. Young contributed a run-scoring walk in the top of the third inning to put Greeneville up, 2-0.
"We all want to win," said Young. "We all want to do our part."
