The San Francisco (AZL) AZL Giants Black took Oakland (AZL) pitcher Danny Harden's best shot and still were able to claim a win at Emperors Stadium. The final score had San Francisco (AZL) getting past the Athletics Green, 6-4. Harden went 7.1 innings and allowed 2 runs, striking out 5. San Francisco (AZL) reliever Bob Sabota picked up the win, upping his record to 1-0. Brad Gosselin was saddled with the loss. San Francisco (AZL) currently is in first place in the East Division at 16-4.

With runners on 1st and 3rd and one out in the bottom of the eighth inning, first baseman Aviel Mendelssohn delivered big for the AZL Giants Black. San Francisco (AZL) was trailing 4-1 when he belted a 3-run home run.
