The Auburn Doubledays started the Round 2 in dominant fashion, blowing out the host Lowell Spinners at Edward A. LeLacheur Park by a score of 10-4 and securing an early 1-0 lead in the best-of-5 series. Doubledays center fielder Steve Donohoe went 3 for 5 with a home run and a double, while scoring 3 times and driving in 4.

Eric Harlan, the Auburn catcher, contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the fifth inning to make the score 6-4, Doubledays. For the game, Harlan was 1-5.

"We lost," Lowell manager Ryan O'Malley said later. "We'll deal with it. The series isn't over."

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Edward A. LeLacheur Park in Lowell.
