With 7-0 Win, Bees Draw Even With Loons
|
Behind a bravura effort from starter Mike Trembly, the Burlington Bees topped the Great Lakes Loons by the score of 7-0 and got their first win in the 2035 Round 2. Trembly threw 6.1 innings of shutout ball for the Bees. The win moves Burlington into a 1-1 tie with Great Lakes.
The Bees liked what they saw from Trembly. The 20-year- old pitcher had a commanding presence on the mound, limiting the Loons to no runs on 2 hits over 6.1 innings, and striking out 4.
Said Great Lakes manager Eduardo Escobar: "We ran into a buzz saw."
Game 3 is scheduled for Sunday at Dow Diamond in Midland.
