White Sox Absorb 9-2 Loss at Angel Stadium of Anaheim
|
The Los Angeles Angels and starting pitcher Juan Aguirre stifled the Chicago offense en route to a comfortable 9-2 win at Angel Stadium of Anaheim. The winning pitcher was Aguirre, now 2-4. He tossed 5.2 innings of 3-hit ball, while walking 4 and fanning 7. The victory puts Los Angeles at 22-38.
Noah Smith, who finished 2nd in the AL in stolen bases with 33 in 2030, aided the Los Angeles cause with a 2-run home run in the bottom of the second. For the game, the shortstop went 1-4 with a home run, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once.
"We need to string a few more wins like this one together," said Aguirre.
