An amazing display of power vaulted Pat Brown and the Boston Red Sox to victory and into the record books today, as the third baseman hit 4 home runs against the Colorado Rockies.

Brown was an unstoppable force for the Red Sox in the 15-5 triumph at Colorado Field. In the postgame interview, Brown said he started to feel the pressure before his last home run.

"I could feel the anticipation from the crowd, the look in my teammates' eyes," he said. "I was already thrilled, but as I stepped in the box I said, please God, let me hit one more."

His totals on his history-making day were 4 hits in 5 at-bats with 8 RBIs and 4 runs scored.

Pat Brown hit a two-run home run off Pete Holland in the 2nd, grounded out in the 3rd, hit a solo-shot off Gilberto Reynoso in the 5th, hit a two-run home run off Bobby Hill in the 6th and hit a two-run home run off Ben Dabon in the 8th.
