Thunder Rally to Eke Out Win
Hartford third baseman Alfredo Sotelo had a terrific game, but it still wasn't enough to get his team a win. Sotelo went 3 for 5 with a home run and 2 singles, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once, even as Trenton beat the Yard Goats, 5-4. The save went to Josh Sweitzer, his 9th this season. Trenton occupies third place in the Eastern Division at 66-57.

Trenton used a clutch hit from Sergio Pichon to get the win. The third baseman drilled a 2-run home run in the top of the tenth inning to put the Thunder ahead, 5-3. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a doozy.

"We squandered some opportunities," said Hartford manager Josh Labandeira.
