Valadez Excels, But Travelers Win
Jorge Valadez had a good game, but he could not keep the Midland RockHounds from falling, 9-6, to the Arkansas Travelers at Security Bank Ballpark. The Midland catcher went 3 for 3 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk. He scored 2 times and drove in 3 in the loss. The winning pitcher was Sam Banning. He tossed 112 pitches over 7 innings, allowing 4 runs on 6 hits. Antonio De Jesus notched his 6th save in 9 chances.
