Bats Fail for Woodpeckers in 4-0 Loss
|
Salem pitcher Chris Griffin did his part in helping his team defeat the Fayetteville Woodpeckers, 4-0. The opposition could never get too much going against the right-hander. The hot start continues for the defending champion Red Sox. This was their 8th win in 10 games.
Griffin scattered 3 hits over 7.1 innings for the Red Sox. With the win, Griffin goes to 2-0 on the year with 11 strikeouts.
"The effort we put into this one paid off," Griffin said.
