Hillcats Wiegand Dominates Keys
All went well for Mike Wiegand of the Lynchburg Hillcats as he pitched his team to a shutout victory, 7-0, over the Frederick Keys, limiting them to 3 hits. In the postgame interview, both managers had glowing things to say about Wiegand on the day.

"Mike's got a good selection of pitches he can throw at a guy," said Hillcats manager Matt Craig. "He changes speed, gives different looks to different hitters. When he's on his game, he's quite a handful."

In the contest, the Lynchburg right-hander rang up 6 and surrendered 3 walks.

"He didn't give us any second chances," said Keys manager Nathan Johnson. "It's a guessing game with him and today we were always guessing wrong."
