The Fayetteville Woodpeckers polished off the Myrtle Beach Pelicans by the score of 5-4. The largest share of the credit belonged to shortstop Steve Bowers. Bowers was 4 for 6 with a triple, a double, and 2 singles, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once for the Woodpeckers. The winning pitcher was Whip Fudge. He's now 4-1.
