Eager fans turned out for a matchup between the Kane County Cougars and Bowling Green Hot Rods.

A good performance from right fielder Kuang-an Qu helped the Kane County Cougars defeat the Bowling Green Hot Rods, 4-2. Qu was 2-4 with 2 doubles, while adding 2 RBI for the Cougars. Kane County reliever Juan Milian snagged the win, upping his record to 2-2. Luis Aguirre shouldered the loss. Getting the save was Juan Castro, his 11th.

In the first inning, Qu had a 2-run double for Kane County. It was his 4th double of the season and put the Cougars on top, 4-0.

Qu told a Kane County Herald reporter that he was "very happy" with the win.

The Cougars now have a record of 41-50 with the win over Bowling Green.
