Thomas Brings A-Game, Cardinals Beat Bombers
|
The St. Louis Cardinals got a magnificent performance from pitcher Josh Thomas, who muffled the Jacksonville offense en route to a tight 3-0 Cardinals win at Busch Stadium. The loss drops Jacksonville to 13-17.
Thomas was the winning pitcher. He raised his season record to 4-3. In 8 innings of work, Thomas gave up no runs on 2 hits, while striking out 5. The Bombers were never able to generate much offense.
"I had everything working," said Thomas.
