Cardinals Best Orioles, 3-1
|
St. Louis rode a good effort from starter Abel Hanson to beat the Baltimore Orioles at Busch Stadium. The final score was 3-1. St. Louis is now 17-19.
The Cardinals got a lift from designated hitter Ed Johnson, who in the bottom of the first hit a 2-run home run. His 4th home run of the season put the Cardinals on top, 2-0.
"Hustle and hard work is a big part of our success," said Hanson. "Those qualities define our team."
