Johnston No-Hits Dodgers
The DSL Chicago (A) White Sox relied on no-hit stuff from starter Billy Johnston to defeat the DSL Los Angeles (N) Dodgers 7-0 at Railsplitters Ballpark today.

"It's quite a thrill," Johnston told the media afterward. "This is a top-notch league. A no-hitter against any team in the league is something special. I can't believe I did it."

To get his name logged in the Dominican Summer League records, he stopped DSL Los Angeles (N) cold and hitless, surrendering 4 walks and fanning 16 of the 31 batters he faced.

DSL Chicago (A) manager was in a jovial mode after the game, kidding with reporters that Johnston "made managing easy today."

"I didn't have hardly any decisions to make like I usually do," he said. "I didn't even have to come up with a pinch hitter."

This season Johnston has a 10-0 mark in 12 starts with a 1.05 ERA. He has given up 19 hits in 86 innings, struck out 208 and issued 26 walks. Opposing clubs have compiled a .069 batting average against him.
