Medina Plays Big Role in Cleveland Win
|
Cleveland got a first-rate effort from pitcher Mario Medina, who frustrated Boston hitters en route to a 2-0 Guardians triumph at Progressive Field. The save went to Raúl Llanet, number 15 for him. The loss makes Boston 27-15.
Medina earned the win, going 8 strong innings for Cleveland. The right-hander allowed just 2 hits, while striking out 9. Boston hitters had little success against him.
"Getting ahead of the hitters was the key," said Medina.
