Cotero Tags Blue Jays for 5 Hits
It's not something you read about in the sports pages every day -- a 5-for-5 day. For many, it might come around only once in a career -- and for Ken Cotero, it came around today.

The 22-year-old first baseman scattered hits all over City of Palms Park to pace the FCL Boston Red Sox to a 9-2 victory over the FCL Toronto Blue Jays.

FCL Toronto skipper told reporters in the press room that "Cotero deserves a hat-tip."

"He hit some good pitches against us," he said. "In fact, according to our scouting reports, Cotero hit several that he is not supposed to be able to hit."

Ken Cotero singled in the 1st, hit a solo-shot off Ed Nelson in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, doubled in the 6th and hit an RBI single in the 7th.

During the current season Cotero is batting at a .354 clip with 7 home runs and 26 RBIs. He has played in 19 games and scored 18 times.
