Rodríguez Helps Minnesota Cruise to 12-1 Win
A nice crowd turned out for a clash between the Minnesota Twins and Texas Rangers.

The Minnesota Twins used an offensive barrage to beat the Texas Rangers, 12-1, at Target Field. Orlando Rodríguez led the way, going 3-for-5 for Minnesota. Gil Warner got credit for the win, improving to 6-3. He allowed 1 run on 5 hits in 7.1 innings.

The Twins got an important contribution from first baseman José Becerra, who in the bottom of the first hit a splitter into right-center for a bases-clearing double. It was his 8th double of the season and put the Twins ahead, 3-0.

"We put the pedal to the metal," said Becerra.

Minnesota now has a record of 28-26 with the win.
