Asheville Tourists hurler Jorge Elías was at his best as he beat the Auburn Doubledays, 5-0.

"He just kept the ball down, did a good job, made his pitches," said Auburn manager . "We didn't do a good job making adjustments, so we helped him out a little bit."

Elías fired a 3-hitter and totaled 14 strikeouts and no walks in the shutout performance.

For the year Elías has no saves. In no relief appearances he has hurled 147.2 innings, fanned 191 and issued 38 walks with a 7-8 record. The Asheville reliever has recorded a 3.53 ERA and allowed the opposition to hit .248 when he is on the hill.
