Guardians Get Past Texas for 3-2 Win
|
Texas wasted an exceptional performance by pitcher Jared Watkins, falling to the Cleveland Guardians, 3-2. Watkins threw 7.2 innings allowing 1 runs for the losing team. The Guardians improved to 30-34.
The game came to a dramatic end. In the bottom of the ninth, with Cleveland trailing 2-1, Kevin Brackett hit a sinker from Gene Murphy for a 2-run home run, giving the Guardians the walk-off win.
"I felt good up there," said Brackett. "I saw the ball well."
