Bombers Fall Short, 3-2, at San Francisco
|
The San Francisco Giants picked up a win at AT&T Park, knocking off the Jacksonville Bombers, 3-2. Starting pitcher Alfredo Morales was a big reason why. Morales picked up the win for San Francisco, going 7.1 innings. He gave up 2 runs on 8 hits. He now sports a record of 4-7. The Bombers, at 25-41, have lost 4 in a row.
The Giants got a big at-bat from right fielder Jeremy Price. For the game, Price went 1 for 4 with a double, while adding 2 RBI. In the bottom of the sixth, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a 2-run double. His 9th double of the season gave San Francisco a 3-1 lead.
"At the end of the day, it's always about your starting pitcher," said San Francisco skipper Robert Perinka.
