Green Brings A-Game, Astros Beat Lynx
|
Houston picked up a win at Minute Maid Park, toppling the Ottawa Lynx, 1-0. Pitcher Jake Green was one of the reasons the Astros triumphed. José Reyes got credit for the save for Houston. It was his 25th of the year. The Astros move to 49-36 with the win, while the Lynx drop to 42-43.
The Lynx had trouble solving Green, who surrendered no runs on 4 hits over 8 innings.
"Jake was Jake," said Astros manager Jay Wells. "We know what we'll get whenever he takes the mound."
