The Baltimore Orioles topped the Texas Rangers, 7-4, in American League action at Globe Life Park in Arlington. The game was highlighted by the performance of Baltimore designated hitter Mikolas Polansky. Gyu-sik Lee, now 1-0, was credited with the win. He allowed no runs on no hits, while striking out 4 and walking 1. Edgardo Gonzáles collected save number 16.

With the game tied, 1-1, in the top of the fifth, Polansky had a key at-bat for Baltimore. With the bases loaded, Polansky, who is on pace for 100 RBI this season, hit a 2-run single off Tamwar Taqi, making the score 3-1, Orioles.

"I'm just trying to make good contact," said Polansky, "one at-bat at a time."

Baltimore, now 52-34, holds down first place in the American League Eastern Division.
