Toronto Loses, 6-4, Despite Hart Performance
|
The Toronto Blue Jays got a superb performance from left fielder Brad Hart. Still, it wasn't enough to beat New York (N). The Mets won the game, 6-4. Hart was 3-4 with 2 home runs and a triple. He scored 3 runs and drove in 3. Jeff Abbott picked up the win, improving his season record to 9-6. He struck out 5 in 8 innings. Kinnosuke Arai earned save number 21 this season.
Ottavio Attene swatted a solo home run for New York (N) in the bottom of the sixth. The third baseman went 2 for 4 for the game, including 1 home run and 1 double. He scored 1 run and batted in 1.
"We're feeling good in this clubhouse right now after that one," Attene told the New York (N) Chronicle.
The Blue Jays, at 38-50, have lost 7 in a row.
