Harris Tames Guardians, 3-1
|
In a low-scoring game between Toronto and Cleveland, pitcher Charlie Harris was excellent. The Toronto right-hander helped his team knock off the Guardians, 3-1. Ronnie Bader earned the save, his 2nd in 2 tries. The Blue Jays now have a record of 39-53.
Harris, who was born in Auburn, California, threw 100 pitches over 7.2 innings, while allowing 1 run.
"I had a good game plan," said Harris. "I made my pitches." His manager concurred. "It was all there," Koty Kochan said, "the velocity, the sharpness of his pitches."
