Pirates Take Close Win Over Brewers
Pittsburgh withstood an impressive performance by Milwaukee second baseman Noel Brown to defeat the Brewers, 6-5, at PNC Park. Brown was 2 for 4 with a home run and a double, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2. Pittsburgh reliever Zach Britton picked up the win, bumping his record to 9-2. J.R. Graham was collared with the loss. Sean Baker got the save, the 2nd for him this season.

Had Daniel García not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the eighth, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and a runner on 3rd, García hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 6-5, in favor of the Pirates.

"A great team win and something real positive we can build on," said García after the game.

The losing streak for Milwaukee has now reached 4 games.
