The home crowd had a good time watching the New York (N) Mets and Texas Rangers get after it.

The Texas Rangers racked up a win at Globe Life Park in Arlington, bumping off the New York (N) Mets, 6-2. Steve Duffy, who started for Texas, pitched effectively for his team. The Rangers now have a mark of 42-63.

The Rangers got an important contribution from right fielder David Manuel, who in the bottom of the second punched a 2-2 slider into left-center for a run-scoring double. It was his 15th double of the season and put the Rangers ahead, 2-0.

"It's easier to pitch when you get run support," said Duffy.
