Hart Lays Hammer Down in 4-1 Win
|
The Seattle Mariners got a strong performance from pitcher Billy Hart, who stymied the Chicago (N) offense en route to a win, 4-1, at Wrigley Field. Earning his 37th save of the year was Jarred Haig. Seattle has a record of 67-50, placing them second in the American League Western Division.
Hart scattered 2 hits over 8 innings for the Mariners. With the win, Hart goes to 8-13 on the year with 181 strikeouts.
"Billy just went about his business, throwing strikes," said Seattle manager Scott Pogue.
