Guardians Get Past Boston for 4-3 Win
|
Kevin Brackett impressed in the 4-3 Cleveland win over Boston. Brackett was 1-1 with a home run. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. Oscar Cirilli snagged the win in relief. In 1.2 innings, the right-hander allowed no runs on 1 hit. He's now 5-3 on the season. Cleveland, at 61-59, occupies second place in the American League Northern Division.
Brackett came through with some timely hitting for Cleveland. With Boston trailing 3-1 in the top of the ninth, Brackett hit a 2-2 fastball for a 3-run home run. His 7th home run of the season made it 4-3, Cleveland.
"I'm just looking for a good pitch that I can hit well," said Brackett. "And not try to do too much."
