Mohr Leads Pittsburgh to 5-1 Win
|
Pittsburgh played host to New York (N) at PNC Park.
Artie Mohr was superb against New York (N). The left-hander, who is tied for 8th in the NL in innings pitched with 170.1, had a changeup that was virtually unhittable at times. The result was a Pirates victory. The score was 5-1. Picking up the save was Damian Wiley. He's now 12 for 14 in save chances.
Mohr made it look effortless. He scattered 3 hits over 7 innings, while racking up 9 strikeouts. The Pittsburgh left-hander encountered little resistance from the New York (N) hitters. His season record is now 12-5.
"I just trusted my stuff," said Mohr.
Pittsburgh is now 55-68.
