Rockies Tag Orioles with 3-2 Loss
|
The Colorado Rockies did just enough to sneak past the Baltimore Orioles, 3-2, at Oriole Park at Camden Yards. Colorado pitcher Norberto Juárez, in particular, had a standout performance. Ethan Byrne closed the door for Colorado, picking up his 20th save of the year. The victory puts Colorado at 52-78.
Colorado used the timely hitting of Juan Costa to seize the win. The shortstop stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the seventh inning to put the Rockies on top, 3-2. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
"We faced good pitching and still got it done," said Costa.
