Pitcher Gil Warner was sensational for the Minnesota Twins in his team's 5-1 triumph over the Texas Rangers. Warner picked up the win, and it was well-earned. The winning pitcher was Warner, now 10-11. He tossed 7 innings of 4-hit ball, while walking 4 and fanning 8. The win puts the Twins at 71-63, while the Rangers drop to 55-79.

José Becerra drove in one run for Minnesota. The former first round draft pick had a key at-bat in the top of the sixth. With one out and runners on 1st and 3rd, he broke a 1-1 tie with a run-scoring sacrifice fly off Jerry Hartman. It was his 67th RBI of the season.

"I just tried to make good contact," said Becerra.
