Chipman Stars for Lynx in 2-1 Win
|
Ottawa beat Toronto at Moosehead Stadium, escaping with a 2-1 win. The win in large part was due to first baseman Dan Chipman. He slugged 2 home runs. The last-place Blue Jays have lost 4 consecutive games.
In the bottom of the seventh, the Lynx grabbed the lead when Chipman hit his 8th home run of the season. The solo home run off Juan Marín made it 2-1, Ottawa.
"That's baseball," said Toronto manager . "You're not always going to be hitting on all cylinders."
