Jackson Socks it to Reds, Cracks 5 Hits
A jubilant Billy Jackson joined the postgame press conference at Miller Park today to offer some unusual words of encouragement -- for the Cincinnati Reds pitching staff he had just vanquished.

"It may not have looked like it," said the Milwaukee Brewers left fielder, "but I saw some awful good pitches today. If luck hadn't been on my side it might have turned out a lot different."

That would not have been the conclusion of anyone who saw his dominant 5-for-6 hitting performance, which led the Brewers to a 5-4 win.

"He made it look easy," said , manager of the Reds. "We never figured out what to do with him. Obviously."

Billy Jackson singled in the 1st, doubled in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, flied out in the 7th, singled in the 9th and doubled in the 11th.

Jackson is hitting .298 this year with 31 home runs, 109 RBIs and 69 runs scored. He has 147 hits in 493 at-bats, 38 walks and a .352 on-base percentage. Jackson has played in 124 games.
