Walk-Off Seals 88th Victory for Angels
|
Joe Hall did all he could to help his team win. In the end, though, it wasn't enough to keep the Toronto Blue Jays from losing, 7-6, to the Los Angeles (A) Angels at Angel Stadium of Anaheim. Hall went 2 for 4 with a home run and a walk. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2. With the win, the Angels improved to 88-57.
The game came to an abrupt end with no one out in the bottom of the tenth. On a pitch from Joe Walkup, Greg Simmons hit a run-scoring double. It gave Los Angeles (A) the 7-6 win.
"We battled our tails off to get this win," said Los Angeles (A) manager Jobo Foster.
