Victory Takes Astros to 86-62
The Houston Astros topped the Tampa Bay Rays, 9-3, with left fielder Ángelo Guzmán playing a big role. Guzmán went 3-5 with a home run and a triple. He scored 3 runs and drove in 2 for the Astros in the win. Houston pitcher Bob Bush got the win, upping his record to 11-9. José Cervantes got the loss. Today's win puts Houston at 86-62, while Tampa Bay falls to 62-86.

Houston relied on the hitting of José Robles to pick up the win. The right fielder clubbed a 2-run home run in the top of the sixth inning to put the Astros on top, 4-3. For the game, Robles had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.

"I just try to go out and give it 100 percent every game," Guzmán told a local reporter after the game. "That's my mantra, and like today, it will pay off more often than not."
