It was pandemonium at Safeco Field after an exciting walk-off win.

The Seattle Mariners picked up a win at Safeco Field, knocking off the Texas Rangers, 6-5. Starting pitcher José Cuevas played a key role in the triumph. Seattle, at 88-62, holds down second place in the American League Western Division.

The game came to a dramatic end. In the bottom of the tenth, with Seattle trailing 5-4, Dewitt Mathews hit a fastball from Carlos Giles for a 2-run home run, giving the Mariners the walk-off win.

"Our guys just had that look of determination," said winning manager Scott Pogue.
