The Sacramento River Cats manager was philosophical in the clubhouse following a shutout loss to the Round Rock Express. The River Cats were overpowered by Round Rock starter Jerry Sexton, who hurled his club to victory, 1-0.

"It was just one of those games -- shake it off and do better next time," said.

Over 9 innings, Sexton blanked Sacramento on 5 hits with 1 walk and 7 strikeouts.

"I kept them off balance. I could tell a lot of them were late on fastballs because they were fouling them off. Once you see that, it sets them up for other pitches," Sexton said.

"I set them up, where if they chased one breaking ball, they were going to chase another one."

Currently Sexton has a record of 7-3 with 42 strikeouts and 24 walks in 79.1 innings and a 2.50 ERA.
