The Texas Rangers got a good effort from starter Mike Crawford in defeating the St. Louis Cardinals at Busch Stadium. The final score was 4-2. Crawford went 5.1 innings to notch the win. He scattered 6 hits, walked 3, and struck out 7. His record improves to 6-16. Giustiniano DiGrande closed the game out for Texas, earning his 12th save.

Jesús Gómez was a prime factor in the win for the Rangers. In the top of the third with one out, the 28-year old first baseman hit a 2-run double. He was 1-4 with a double, while adding 2 RBI.

"It's a good day to be a fan after a win like that," Crawford told the Texas Gazette.

Texas is 63-90 and St. Louis, with the loss, 99-54.
