The Atlanta Braves picked up a win at Turner Field, knocking off the Houston Astros, 6-5. Starting pitcher Artie Davis played a key role in the triumph. The winner was Atlanta reliever Jesús López, now 2-6. The loser was José Reyes. Atlanta is now 104-54, 18½ games up in the National League Southern Division.

In the bottom of the ninth, with one out and the game tied, 5-5, shortstop Artie McCall won it for Atlanta. With runners on 1st and 2nd, McCall hit a 2-1 fastball from José Reyes for a run-scoring single, giving his team the 6-5 win.

"That's how to finish a ballgame," said McCall.
