Springfield Cardinals starter Elijah Stafford was unhittable today at Hammons Field.

Stafford beat the Corpus Christi Hooks 3-0, breezing through the Hooks lineup en route to a no-hitter.

"I thought Elijah started off a little slow and was struggling with his command at first," Cardinals manager said later. "He lucked his way through the early innings, and they helped him out by not being patient. Eventually, it all came together for him, and from there on the Hooks never had a chance. He dominated them."

Stafford struck out 7 batters and issued 4 walks in the performance.
