Missions Spank RockHounds, 9-0
Before the game, Giulio Toraldo said he liked his chances. His instincts proved to be right. In a superb outing at Nelson W. Wolff Municipal Stadium, the Missions pitcher blanked the Midland RockHounds 9-0.

"I just had a feeling it was going to be my day," Toraldo said in the clubhouse afterward. "My control was awesome. I could throw my cutter even when I was behind in the count."

The San Antonio starter held Midland scoreless, giving up 1 hit while registering 15 strikeouts and issuing 4 walks.

"We didn't have very many good at-bats," RockHounds manager said in a postgame interview. "When that happens, you usually lose."

In 11 starts this year Toraldo has crafted a 8-2 record and a 2.23 ERA.
