Barrett Now 2-0 After Subduing Angels
|
The Seattle Mariners extended their winning streak.
In a well-pitched game between the Seattle Mariners and the Los Angeles (A) Angels, pitcher Randy Barrett was superb. The Seattle right-hander helped his team win, 3-0. Jarred Haig recorded his 2nd save for Seattle.
Barrett's performance can only be described as masterful. He notched 6 strikeouts in 8 innings while allowing 2 hits. Barrett, who finished 3rd in the AL in strikeouts with 232 last year, goes to 2-0 on the year with 13 strikeouts.
"We didn't score," said losing manager Jobo Foster. "That was the problem."
The Mariners raised their record to 7-0.
