McDonald Guns Downs 15 Grizzlies
|
Eric McDonald of the Lake Elsinore Storm put on a pitching clinic today at Lake Elsinore Diamond as he struck out 15 Fresno Grizzlies in a 3-1 victory. McDonald, who is tied for 3rd in the A- West with a 1.16 ERA, was simply magnificent as he held the Grizzlies to 2 hits. He walked 0.
"I felt okay at the beginning," McDonald said, "but eventually my cutter really started working. I also have to thank my catcher for calling a great game."
When asked about McDonald's performance, Storm manager shook his head and said, "Yeah, he was good out there today. He was dominating."
To date, McDonald has collected no saves in no relief appearances. He has rung up 185 strikeouts and 40 walks in 116.2 innings while registering a 1.16 ERA and a 9-2 won-lost record.
