AC Premier Pitcher is Omaha's Peterson Thursday, August 1st, 2024 Any time a rookie makes a splash on the scene, it's got to be great for his career potential. Just ask Rob Peterson, who put together a stellar month out of the pen. The Omaha Storm Chasers closer, 26, kept the opposition off balance all month as he held them to a .115 average and walked away with the American Conference Pitcher of the Month award for July. Peterson posted a 0-2 mark and a 1.69 ERA in 15 relief appearances. In 16 innings, he had 12 saves, 20 strikeouts, and 5 walks. To date this season, Peterson has fashioned a 4.78 ERA and rung up 32 saves for his club. He has 69 strikeouts and 20 walks. Opponents have hit for a combined .239 average against him and Peterson has a 2-4 won-lost mark. |
